I specialize in individual therapy with adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s struggling with anxiety, OCD, trauma responses, adjustment stress, or identity struggles that make it difficult to balance the many demands of modern life.
As adults in this society, the pressures of adjusting to life changes, both expected and unexpected, and living up to the expectations of ourselves and others can feel overwhelming. This often results in perfectionism, low self-confidence, relationship difficulties, work difficulties, loss of meaning, depression, or burnout. Therapy can be a helpful way to address this.
I deeply value the therapeutic relationship as an agent for change. Thus, as your therapist, I will work with you to establish a warm and affirming rapport to help you process your emotions and experiences, develop coping skills, connect with core values and strengths, challenge unhelpful or unwanted patterns, and connect with a deeper understanding of self. My intention is to support you in developing the tools, insight, and self-confidence you need to reach your wellness goals and live a more fulfilling life.
During our initial sessions I will assess your current needs and collaborate with you to identify treatment goals to address your symptoms and help you get your life back on track. I work to tailor my approach to your unique concerns, strengths, and goals while also working to see and affirm your culture, values, and intersecting identities.
I integrate evidence-based frameworks including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Existential/Humanistic, Psychodynamic/Relational, and Mindfulness-Based/Somatic approaches.
I also specialize in working with adjustment and identity concerns in young adults and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
If you have any questions about my approach, please reach out to me.
